1 minute with Kirk
– If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator? Sir David Attenborough.
– What was the last song you sung along to? Bohemian Rhapsody in an epic sing-off with my brother-in-law. Of the two people in attendance, there were mixed views on who won.
– What did you Google last? “Beginner’s guide to chipping”, mid-round, whilst contemplating how much I could get for my clubs on eBay.
– Do you prefer cats or dogs? Each have their pros and cons, except my cat Gem. She’s all con.
– What still makes you cringe when you think back on it? The first dance at our wedding. There wasn’t supposed to be one.
– An epic feast is held in your honor, what’s on the table? If my wife has anything to do with it, something plant-based.
– What topic could you spend hours talking about? The proposed purchase of a new bike or bike related items of any kind, by anyone.
– What do you prefer: city, countryside, woods, beach, or mountains? Beach.
– What fictional place would you most like to go? Hogwarts.
– What’s on your bucket list this year? Ride 10,000kms, play more golf, stay married. Something may have to give.

Experience
General experience overview
Kirk’s areas of expertise include corporate restructuring and insolvency, corporate advisory and disputes. With over 15 years’ experience, Kirk has advised a wide range of major domestic and international corporates, funds and financial institutions, as well as restructuring and insolvency practitioners, directors and creditors on all aspects of securities and insolvency law.
Kirk developed his legal career at one of Australia’s pre-eminent law firms and at a leading international firm. During this time it was easy to spot his office by the amount of cycling gear scattered on every surface. As we all sit in open plan at Assured, some of us live in fear his cycling paraphernalia will take over our neat and tidy desks…
